Terms of Service
Who these terms apply to
These Terms of Service apply to parents and guardians who register a student for a CultivLab cohort. By completing registration you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and your student. Students do not create accounts and do not accept these terms directly.
The program
CultivLab is a free 2-week online cohort for students in grades 8–12. Each cohort is limited to six students. Cohorts are led by Ash Kumar or a founder-vetted mentor. The program is currently in free beta; no payment is required or accepted.
Registration and approval
Submitting a registration form does not guarantee a cohort seat. Each application is reviewed manually by Ash. If approved, you will receive a magic-link email to confirm your consent and complete enrollment. Seats are limited; we may waitlist or decline applications at our discretion.
Parent responsibilities
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the student you are registering.
- You will attend a 15-minute parent intro call before the cohort starts.
- You will join the live project demo at the end of week two.
- You will ensure your student follows the Student Code of Conduct.
- You will keep your contact information current so we can reach you.
Student conduct
Students are expected to follow the Student Code of Conduct (see Code of Conduct). Violations may result in removal from the cohort. Parents will be notified in writing of any conduct action.
Intellectual property
Projects built by students during the cohort belong to the student. Cultiv.ai does not claim ownership of student work. We may ask for permission to feature completed projects in a parent showcase; this is always opt-in.
AI usage
CultivLab uses AI tools as teaching instruments. The AI chat assistant on this website is a constrained admissions helper; see our AI Usage Disclosure for details. We do not use student input to train AI models.
Limitation of liability
CultivLab is an educational program. We make no guarantees about academic outcomes, college admissions results, or career outcomes. See our No College Admissions Guarantee notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us — which for the current free beta is zero.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms before Phase 2 launch after lawyer review. Material changes will be communicated by email before they take effect.
