About Cultiv.ai

A small AI learning studio where students build useful projects, not just prompts.

Cultiv.ai started as a small AI learning studio in Fremont, California for students in grades 8–12. We help students learn modern AI tools by building real projects they can explain, improve, and share. Our programs are intentionally small: six students at a time, guided by mentors, with a clear project outcome by the end of each cohort.

Our story

Cultiv.ai began with a simple student problem. A ninth-grade student — a creative visual learner — was struggling to remember formulas, long science terms, and disease names. Traditional notes were not enough. During class, one missed moment could make the rest of the lesson feel out of reach.

Over one weekend, with guidance from a mentor and using AI tools like Claude, that challenge became an early project called Spark: a personalized AI co-study assistant concept. Spark was not built as a finished company. It was built as proof that a motivated student, with the right guidance, could use AI to turn a real learning challenge into something useful. That experience became the seed for Cultiv.ai.

Our mission

Our mission is to cultivate a better world through AI learning by helping students build useful projects, develop responsible habits, and prepare for the next generation of work.

Cultiv.ai is led by Students & Mentors. We started Cultiv.ai because we saw a gap: students are surrounded by AI tools, but many do not yet have structured guidance on how to use them thoughtfully. The goal is not to make every student a software engineer. The goal is to help every student become a more capable AI-era learner: someone who can define a problem, use the right tools, build a first version, and present their work with confidence.

How we work

What we won't compromise on.

Real projects, not tutorials

Students build something real — not watch someone else build it. Every cohort ends with a project they can explain, improve, and share.

Small cohorts, personal guidance

Six students per cohort — not sixty, not six hundred. We keep it personal so every student gets real feedback on their actual work.

Full project cycle

Every project includes planning, building, testing, presenting, and reflection. Students learn both the technical skills and the thinking process.

Honest about AI

We teach AI as a tool with real limits. Students learn to question outputs, verify results, and make decisions — not just accept what AI generates.

Parents see the outcome

Every Cultiv touchpoint is built for parents to understand, approve, and follow along. You see what your student built, how it works, and what they learned.
