Who we are

Cultiv.ai is a founder-led AI education program based in Fremont, California. We operate CultivLab, a free 2-week online cohort for students in grades 8–12. Parent registration is required for every student. "We," "us," and "Cultiv" refer to Cultiv.ai.

What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to run the program:

• Parent full name — Identity and communication
• Parent email — Confirmations, magic-link access, program updates
• Parent phone — Last-resort contact only
• Student first name + last initial — Program personalization — never full last name
• Student grade level — Cohort matching
• Student goal (free text) — Curriculum fit
• Parent consent timestamps — Legal record of consent
• Anonymized chat session content — Quality and safety review by Ash

What we do not collect

We do not collect student last names in full, student email or phone numbers, student date of birth, payment information, photos or video of students without explicit per-cohort photo release, social media identifiers, or any medical, psychological, or demographic data.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to operate the program: communicate with parents, match students to cohorts, send confirmation and approval emails, and review chat sessions for quality and safety. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We do not use parent or student input to train AI models.

Data retention

• Lead records — 24 months from last activity
• Chat sessions — 90 days (automatic deletion via Firestore TTL)
• Student profile — Duration of cohort + 24 months
• Consent records — 7 years (regulatory minimum)
• Sentry error logs — 30 days
• GA4 analytics — 14 months

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@cultiv.ai. We will respond within 30 days. Consent records and any records required by law will be retained for the legally required period even after a deletion request.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Cultiv. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Google Firebase / Firestore — database and authentication
• Resend — transactional email
• Sentry — error monitoring (PII scrubbed before transmission)
• Google Analytics 4 — anonymized usage analytics
• Anthropic Claude — AI chat (your input is not used for model training)
• Calendly — optional call scheduling
• Google Cloud Run — hosting

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how parents and students navigate the site. A cookie consent banner will be added before Phase 2 launch. Until then, analytics fire for all visitors. We do not run advertising cookies.
