Student Code of Conduct
CultivLab is a small, private cohort. The way students treat each other and their mentors is as important as the projects they build. This code is written in plain language so students can read it themselves.
Be kind
No insults, put-downs, slurs, or harassment — in the live sessions, in any shared workspace, or in any messages connected to the cohort. This includes comments about other students' work, backgrounds, or ideas.
Keep personal information private
Do not share your last name, home address, phone number, school name, or photos of yourself inside the cohort space. Do not ask other students for this information either.
Respect other students' work
Do not share, copy, or claim another student's project without their permission. Each student owns their own work.
Bring projects, not homework
CultivLab is not a homework-help service. Do not use the cohort, the mentor, or the AI tools to complete graded schoolwork. We're here to build original projects.
Use AI as a tool, not a shortcut
AI is a building tool — use it to think, prototype, and create. Do not use it to generate work you then pass off as your own thinking without engaging with it. Your mentor will teach you where the line is; when in doubt, ask.
Speak up if something feels wrong
If anything — a message, a comment, a session — makes you uncomfortable, tell Ash or tell your parent. You can email privacy@cultiv.ai. We will believe you and take it seriously.
Consequences
Violations are handled in this order: verbal warning from the mentor → written warning (parent notified) → cohort suspension or removal. Every decision will be explained in writing to the parent. There is no appeal to a committee — Ash makes the final call and is reachable directly.
For parents
By completing enrollment, you confirm your student has read this code and will follow it. If your student struggles with any of these expectations, reach out before the cohort starts — we would rather find a better fit than remove a student mid-cohort.
